A Conversation with Rev Dr William J. Barber, II and Jennifer Jones Austin and to discuss the Mass Poor People’s Assembly & Moral March on Washington

• On June 9, FPWA will host an online rally for the Mass Poor People’s Assembly and Moral March on Washington, to be held on June 20, 2020. • The March will be the largest digital gathering of poor, dispossessed and impacted people, faith leaders, and people of conscience from across the United States. • We are marshalling our collective voices to demonstrate the power of our communities. We demand that both major political parties address the interlocking injustices of systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation, militarism and the distorted moral narrative of religious nationalism • It’s time to wake the nation to the interlocking injustices facing 140 million poor and low-income people, 43% of the nation. • But it’s not enough just to be awake. It’s not the waking, it’s the rising. On June 20, 2020, we rise together.
